History of Ugadi and How to Celebrate Ugadi Festival?
Ugadi उगादी is a Sanskrit word that makes with Yuga means to age and Adi mean Starting – “The Beginning of a New Age.” According to Hindu Mythological, The Lord Brahma created the Universe on this day.
People do preparations for this event begin a week in advance. They buying new clothes and cleaning house and decorate the entrance of their home with fresh mango leaves.Beautiful Rangolis are made in front of the house with different colored powders and flowers. They get up early in the morning and take a bath after massaging with sesame oil.
After it, people’s worship to God and takes blessings before they start the new year. They pray for their health, wealth, and success in business too. Ugadi is the arrival of Spring season and warmer weather. A special dish Bevu Bella or Ugadi Pachadi is prepared on this day. It made from jaggery, neem buds, tamarind juice and raw mango.
